Your Mindset Will Either Make You – Or Break You
Mindset is everything. This week I’m sharing how your mindset will either make you – or break you and I can speak from personal experience. This past weekend I joined my cousin and ran a half marathon. I’ve never been so present and experienced such an internal mind-fuck like I did while running in this race.
We’re constantly in a tug-of-war with ourselves based on our thoughts. Our thoughts create our reality. We think we can and then we think we can’t. We have all the reasons in the world as to why we can or get super pumped up for a new goal and then as soon as things get hard, excuses creep in and limiting beliefs win.
Not this time. Let this no longer be your story. The morning of the run it was dark, it was cold (sub 40 degrees) and it was windy. It was a perfect shit storm to run a race – or so my mind wanted me to believe. I had a choice – continue to feed the negative thoughts going on in my mind, or stay strong and reach my goal of running a half marathon in less than two hours.
