Winning Strategies To Be More Consistent
Consistency is the key to success. This week I’m sharing with you my winning strategies to be more consistent. I know for a fact, any goal that I’ve achieved is due to consistency as well as mindset. Without those, excuses would win every time. The important thing to remember in being consistent is that it’s a process. Be kind to yourself along the way.
Build it brick by brick
I remember in December 2017 when I first started my podcast, Mind Over Matter. I didn’t really have a plan or know how often I would commit to posting an episode. Luckily, I was part of a mastermind and I was challenged to commit to two episodes a week.
At first, I was slightly overwhelmed. That’s a lot of content to create. But, I agreed to it and I committed to two episodes a week. It took time to build an audience and gain traction and the only way to get either of those was committing to staying consistent. Now, nearly two years later I’m nearing in on 200 episodes and have listeners in more than 70 countries! That didn’t happen overnight. It’s been a process and a lot of learning along the way.
Now, I want to share with you my winning strategies to be more consistent:
- Set a specific goal
- Commit to small, daily habits
- Schedule it
- Know it’s a process
- Celebrate and reward yourself along the way
- When you fall off, get back on
- Take a break to recharge
- Set your next goal
Progress not perfection
This will take time. Statistics say it takes anywhere from 21-90 or more days to create new habits. The time is going to pass anyway, you might as well make progress along the way by being consistent. Now that you are equipped with winning strategies to be more consistent, start with step number one today!
