Keys to Fulfilling Relationships

By November 7, 2018 No Comments

Episode #87

Kevin Crenshaw, also known as The Heart Guy, joined me in this week’s interview to talk all things relationships. He shared how he overcame past relationships including being cheated on by his fiancé, and how he’s now helping others find fulfillment in relationships.

I’ve been intrigued by the psychology of men and women, especially when it comes to relationships since I can remember. Kevin reminded me of something very powerful: the importance of changed mindset – that love is abundant.

Kevin has spent the last six years fully immersed in researching, reading and understanding relationships. On his own journey to uncover why his relationships had failed, he turned the lesson back on him – what could he do differently? The key in his learning was taking ownership.

Another key point he touched on is forgiveness. It’s vital that you forgive past relationships. You must let go of trying to change the past. Instead, accept what was, forgive and move on. Most importantly, find the silver lining and learn the lesson so you don’t keep repeating the same thing(s) in each new relationship.

Kevin really helped break this down to a few simple elements:

  1. Be yourself in full expression;
  2. Accept and love yourself;

  3. Know yourself;

  4. Past made you who you are;

  5. Forgive.

Whether you’re currently in a relationship or single, you must get clear on what you want. Write it down. How do you want to feel? What do you want to experience? Who is your ideal partner? When you’re clear, the Universe delivers.

It’s also important to know that relationships are to GIVE not GET. Many people go into relationships looking for someone to “complete them”. You are complete on your own. In my opinion, a partner is just the cherry on top.

BE the one so you can attract the one. Who do you need to become? Or, what masks and insecurities do you need to let go of?
