How to Unleash the Winner Within
Jaime McCormick joins me this week to discuss how to unleash the winner within. Jaime has been sober for 17+ years. In this episode, he discusses what life used to be like and the downward spiral of negativity he was living.
One quote that Jaime uses that I feel is so powerful is this, “As long as you have breath, you have purpose.” Finding purpose for so many is daunting; they’re seeking something big and grandiose. The truth is, your purpose may be to be kind to your neighbor, help someone out in need or be the best version of you as to inspire others to be the best version of them.
From a former lifestyle of drugs, alcohol and a negative circle, Jaime knows the power of perspective. It wasn’t until he found out he was going to be a father, did he decide to turn his life around.
Something bigger than you
When life becomes about something bigger than you (in his case, a daughter on the way), that’s where purpose can be found. Language is one of the most powerful tools we have and as Jaime stated, what you speak – you become.
With a perspective of “Who am I” to be successful to a perspective of “Who am I” to NOT do this thing – start a blog, a side hustle, speak on stage, write a book became his driving force. He found a way to unleash the winner within.
Let fear fuel you
Self doubt and fear can rule you – or as I like to profess, you can choose to embrace fear and let it fuel you. Jaime is now a dynamic speaker who uses real life experiences to engage, challenge and serve his audience.
His diverse expertise in mindset transformation is sought after, making him an international coach with clients in America and beyond. None of this would be possible if he had chosen to play small.
