How to Stop Worrying and Start Living
Worry is keeping you away from your ideal life. Today, I’m sharing with you how to stop worrying and start living. By being in a habit of worry, you’re allowing your mind to dwell on difficulties or troubles. Instead, learn how to create trust, calm and peace in your life so you can start living, and stop worrying.
Retrain your brain
First of all, to retrain your brain for any habit, you have to learn to catch and replace. That simply means, the next time you find yourself worrying, realize you’re doing it and then choose to focus on what you DO want instead of dwelling and down spiraling on what you don’t want.
Every thought you have creates emotions and energy. What you put out, you get back. If you’re putting out thoughts of worry, you’ll gain momentum and snowball the same. Instead, choose to use your time and energy thinking about your ideal outcome, and that’s what you’ll get.
Additionally, to help you get out of a worry state and into an at ease state of being, come back to your breath. This will help you focus on the present moment and get out of shallow breathing and feelings of anxiousness that worry create. An easy way to do this that you can tap into anywhere is meditation. Or, simply inhale for a count of 4-6 seconds, hold your breath for 1-2 seconds and a slow exhale for another 4-6 seconds.
In just 60 seconds of being mindful, you can create calm and peace mentally. This will take you away from worry and your focus will be brought back to the present moment. You can create ease physically, as well as mentally and emotionally, simply by coming back to your breath.
The final step to stop worrying and start living is to visualize your ideal outcome. Use your time and energy to create a vision and in turn, emotions to back it up. This will ease your mind and create the peace and certainty you’re craving from a worry state. Tune into Episode 246 for the full lesson!
