Be You For You
Richard Gordon joins me this week to share how to step into being more confident and to be you for you. Richard’s background is in martial arts where he learned to develop himself physically, mentally as well as emotionally.
Confidence is sexy
By developing confidence in yourself, you’re able to bring out the best in you. Not only will your posture benefit, your entire vibe will too. In this episode, Richard shares how to control and feel your emotions rather than deny them.
The whole movement behind be you for you, is to step into your authenticity. Do what makes you happy. It’s easy to fall trap into cultural norms or follow family businesses – the important question to ask, “What do I want?”
For me, stepping into my authenticity took time. We all want to fit it, but I believe we were born to stand out. Each one of us has our own unique abilities and approach that makes us who we are.
Quiet the noise
Rather than following suit, this week’s challenge is to quiet the noise. Maybe that’s meditation, maybe it’s a simple walk in nature, maybe it’s sitting alone in a room and journaling your thoughts.
The best part, it’s ok to change your mind! You’re never stuck on a certain path no matter how far down you’ve traveled. Try new things. Take risks, and most importantly, have fun with it!
This is your time to develop your best self. What steps can you take to be you, for you?
