When Things Don’t Work Out The Way We Planned

Ah, that age old feeling when something doesn’t work out the way we planned.  When this happens for you, do you feel disappointed, sad, frustrated, lost etc?  I get it, this happens for me too, but I have to share how we can get passed this.

An Expectation Hangover is a real thing.

If you expect an event or relationship or job to go exactly as YOU planned, and something goes awry you’re left feeling blah.  But, it doesn’t have to be this way.

I’ve realized from a recent expectation hangover, that just because things aren’t working out the way I planned, I must know that there’s an even better opportunity out there for me.  I’ve also come to find out that I may not always know what’s best for me even if I think I do.

I urge you to hold a desire in mind, but to not focus on the details (the how’s).  Know that we may not know the fastest route to our intended destination (a new job, relationship, purchasing a house) but if we can let go of the need to control, an even better outcome is possible.

Let go, let flow.

If you’re anything like me, you want it all and you want it NOW!  Patience truly is a virtue as well as having faith and trusting the process.  If at anytime you’re feeling unhappy about obtaining a desire such as it’s not here yet, you’re actually keeping that desire at bay.  If you can be content in the absence of not having it YET, knowing, believing that it is on it’s way and right on schedule, you open the gates for everything you desire to come to you.

That desire you’re holding, it’s available to you now.

On a final note, faith is believing in something even when you can’t see it, or hold it, or touch it.  I’m asking you to hop on my chill train, to let go of the timing expectations and have fun on the journey.  When you’re truly happy and content in the now, it sends a message to the Universe that you’re ready to receive more.

Have a great week!
