It’s Thanksgiving week where many people spend time thinking about things they are grateful for. Part of my morning and nightly routine is to reflect on each day 5 things I am grateful for. I’ve realized, the more I reflect on the good and those in which I have gratitude, more comes my way.
The Struggle Ends When Gratitude Begins
There are relationships and experiences in life that we are to experience to grow. At times, I think we get caught up in the victim mode and wonder “why me?”. However, finding the lesson in each experience is far more powerful and helpful then focusing on the negative.
Grow Through What you Go Through
Every person we encounter and every event is happening for us. Hindsight really is 20/20. Have you ever ended a relationship, been fired from a job, had an otherwise “misfortune” happen but were able to see the positives? This is where true growth begins.
I’m choosing to focus more on the positives and the good times rather than wallow in the self pity or even yet, the impatience of not having what I want RIGHT NOW! There is a sense of peace when you can truly be present in the now and let go of the past and stop planning for the future.
As Thanksgiving approaches, what can you focus on to be grateful for? What is happening right now, today in your life that you can say THANK YOU?!
What Are you Grateful For Today?
